Renewable Heating System with Commercial Plant Room
As part of this prestigious new-build residence, our brief was to design and install a complete renewable heating solution capable of efficiently heating a large, high-specification home while significantly reducing its environmental impact.
The client wanted a future-proof system that would deliver exceptional comfort, low running costs and outstanding energy efficiency without compromising on performance. Our solution combined twin 12kW air source heat pumps, a bespoke light commercial plant room and a fully zoned underfloor heating system to create a highly efficient heating infrastructure that offers complete temperature control throughout the property.

High Demand Plant Room
- Purpose-Built Plant Room: A professionally designed light commercial plant room was installed to facilitate the property’s renewable heating infrastructure and high demand application.
- Precision Pipework Installation: Bespoke copper pipework has been expertly installed to create a well organised layout that works to best performance and looks good to a keen eye.
- Fully Insulated Services: All pipework has been professionally insulated throughout the plant area & whole building to minimise heat loss, maximise system efficiency and improve long-term operating performance.
Renewable Heating Solution
- Twin Air Source Heat Pumps: Two high-performance A+++ Vaillant Arotherm Air Source Heat Pumps were installed to provide the property’s heating source. Operating in cascade the twin units deliver exceptional efficiency while ensuring sufficient capacity to comfortably heat this substantial home throughout the year and provide on demand hotel level continuous hot water.
- High-Capacity Hot Water Storage: A 500 Litre hot water cylinders work alongside the heat pumps to maximise system efficiency, improve energy storage and provide a consistent supply of hot water with loops around the building to provide instant draw off to the bathrooms and kitchens.
- Low Carbon Heating: By harnessing renewable energy from the outside air, the system significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to conventional gas or oil-fired heating systems, creating a cleaner and more sustainable home.
- Reduced Infrastructure: No gas services required for the building, and no bulk storage required either.
Whole House Underfloor Heating
- Complete Underfloor Heating Installation: A fully integrated underfloor heating system was installed throughout the property, providing gentle, even heat distribution across every room.
- Multi-Zone Temperature Control: Individual heating zones allow each area of the home to be controlled independently, enabling occupants to tailor temperatures to suit their lifestyle while reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
- Superior Comfort: Unlike traditional radiators, underfloor heating delivers consistent radiant heat from floor level, eliminating cold spots and creating a comfortable living environment throughout the home.
Intelligent System Control
